The neighbours have managed to excel even themselves with their idiosyncratic approach to external decoration. Upon arrival the decided to cheer up the walkway outside the flats with some planks of wood, a chair and ashtray filled with dog ends. Obviously their artistic Muse was not yet placated and last week a roll of lino was added to the pile of wood and a dining table has been juxtaposed with the chair to create a truly aesthetic smoking experience.
One wonders what the outcome will be when they next give full rein to their artistic sensibilities: an occasional table? Framed prints of Old Masters? A folly?
